TSMC stopped supplying chips to Sophgo, an artificial intelligence company linked to Bitmain, after the US commerce department launched an investigation into whether it supplied chips to Huawei earlier this month. TSMC has cut off chip supplies to the companies involved, according to two people familiar with the matter.
